Big Festivities Coming to Downingtown on September 25

Victory 5K Fall Fest

Make it a day out in Downingtown with a 5K run and festival fun plus the opportunity to support the environmental gem that’s behind Victory Brewing Company’s fresh beers.

Circle Sunday, September 25, on your calendar for the Victory Fall Fest 5K and the Downingtown Fall Fest. Here’s what’s in store:

Victory Fall Fest 5K

Victory HeadwatersRegistration opens at 498 Acorn Lane at 9 a.m. for the second annual run through the heart of Downingtown; the race starts at 10 a.m. Your fee includes entry into the race, a T-shirt and two tickets that you may redeem for food, beer or root beer at Victory’s Brewpub on Wheels during Fall Fest. Pre-register through September 22 and save: it’s $35 per person through that date, $45 per person thereafter.

The best reason to run (besides all those health benefits)? Proceeds benefit the Victory Headwaters Grant! It takes pristine water to make fresh beer, and Victory uses the east and west branches of the Brandywine Creek to source that goodness. To safeguard it—and to support local water advocacy groups—a portion of every bottle of namesake Headwaters Ale goes to the grant. The Victory Fall Fest 5K is another way to shore up the fund that’s already donated more than $35,000 to make a difference.

Ready to lace up your sneakers? Register today.

Downingtown Fall Fest

The festivities start an hour earlier this year—at 11 a.m.—and run until 4 p.m. Green Street and E. Pennsylvania Avenue will be packed with vendors during this free festival so you can shop ‘till you drop, get info about important local organizations and sample pay-as-you-go nibbles from a wide range of food vendors (bring cash!).

The always popular Victory Biergarten will feature the Victory Brewpub on Wheels pouring your favorite beers. It’s located on Green Street next to the lake to serve those 21 and up. The under-21 set are permitted inside the fenced area but must be with an adult at all times. It’s a great place to kick back, relax and enjoy Victory’s signature brews. The fine print: all beer must be consumed inside the fenced area, no smoking, no strollers and no pets (trust us, Fido will be happier at home).

The party atmosphere will roll on all day with great entertainment. Check out performances from the School of Rock, the Walton Marquette Project, Gina Miller & Division Highway and The Punk Junkies. Dancing is encouraged!

The Downingtown Fall Fest is brought to you by the Downingtown-Thorndale Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Victory Brewing Company and the Borough of Downingtown, plus these other generous sponsors. The focus is on fun, so grab the kids, your besties or your better half and make a day of it.

Want to know more? Visit the website, and note that vendor applications and sponsorships are still being accepted. See you in September!
