Tickets Now on Sale for 2nd Annual BOP Brewers Symposium (Sept. 30)

Brewers from around the Mid Atlantic region are gathering at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem for the 2nd Annual Mid Atlantic Brewers Symposium on Friday, September 30, from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

The one-day event, sponsored by the Brewers of Pennsylvania, Concannon, Miller & Co. P.C. and HMK Insurance, will feature ten 45-minute seminars from leaders of the craft brewing industry. The symposium is open to licensed brewers, home brewers, beer advocates, industry supporters and others in the beer industry.

Beer glasses credit DishWorksThroughout the day, attendees will learn about and discuss the science and business of brewing. Highlights of the schedule include:

  • Beer manufacturing and distribution issues
  • Emerging safety resources for brewers
  • Balancing retail and wholesale demands
  • Avoiding and resolving trademark disputes
  • Sensory training
  • Content marketing for breweries

Presenters include Mary Bigham of Dish Works Content Marketing Agency, Bill Covaleski of Victory Brewing Company, Kevin Finn of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Jason Lavery of Lavery Brewing Company, Scott Ruddich of Round Guys Brewing Company, John Stemler of Free Will Brewing Company, Mark Brault of Deer Creek Malthouse and many more. Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board chairman Tim Holden is the keynote speaker during the symposium luncheon.

The cost to attend the Mid Atlantic Brewers Symposium is free for current BOP members (2 max., $50 each additional individual); $199 for non-member licensed breweries, with limited ticket availability; and $99 for home brewers, which includes the individual sessions throughout the day, breakfast and lunch.

The symposium will run in conjunction with the Annual Oktoberfest presented by Yuengling featuring a Craft Brewers Village.
