Say It Isn’t So: Kennett Square’s Taste of Puebla to Close

We’re sad to report that Taste of Puebla will be closing its doors in Kennett Square in less than two weeks.

The news was announced recently on the restaurant’s Facebook page:

TasteofPueblaGuacamole-1“To our loyal Customers,

As many of you know or may have heard, Taste of Puebla restaurant will be closing in two weeks. Owners Cristobal and Mariana Castaneda have decided to focus their time on local farmers’ markets and small businesses. They will continue to make each batch of salsa, chips, tamales and more with joy as they adventure into this new phase of the business. The restaurant was a good time and gave them the opportunity to meet so many of our amazing customers!

We want to thank all of you for your loyal business, partnerships and friendships. We ask for your patience in this exciting time of change. Taste of Puebla Catering & more will be updated on our website and labels. A full list of markets and store locations will be posted at tasteofpuebla.com including all contact information.

Kindest Regards,
Geovana Castaneda
(proud daughter of Cristobal and Mariana)”

The current spot will be the location for a new eatery, The SawMill Grill, which will serve burgers, cheesesteaks and other popular American fare. Although Taste of Puebla is not renewing their lease at the current location, Mexican fare lovers will still be able to grab Taste of Puebla products, such as their delicious chips and salsa, at farmers’ markets and other venues within Kennett Square.

We wish the owners and staff at Taste of Puebla the best of luck in their future endeavors!
