Join in the Fun at the 4th Annual Roxtoberfest Celebration

Fall fun is brewing at the fourth annual Roxtoberfest—Roxborough’s uniquely Philly spin on Germany’s world-renowned Oktoberfest celebration. The popular, family-friendly Roxtoberfest celebration will take place Saturday, October 1, from noon–6 p.m. along Ridge Avenue between Lyceum Avenue and Leverington Avenue in Roxborough.

beer-garden-ed-williamsA homebrew beer competition, fabulous food, live music by several of the region’s hottest artists, life-sized board games and children’s activities are just some of the fun things to see, eat, drink and participate in at Roxtoberfest.

There is fun for all with family-focused activities like balloon twisting, crafts, a trackless train, water pong games, an obstacle course, Dracula’s castle and so much more.

Food will be available for purchase from favorites The Roaming Raven, Glammy’s Funnel Cakes and Cookies, The Smooth Cow, Jules Thin Crust, Philly Pretzel Factory, My Four Suns, BrazBQ, The Lunchbox, Two Chefs and Chubby’s Steaks.

For the first time, Roxtoberfest will have an exclusive VIP area available in Roxborough’s Pocket Park. VIP tickets are $25 per person and include intimate performances by locally and regional acclaimed artists, an exclusive Roxtoberfest HomeBrew Competition tasting, a Roxtoberfest t-shirt, a Roxtoberfest collector beer stein, a Roxtoberfest homebrew flight tasting ticket and one craft beer ticket.

Carry the Roxtoberfest celebration into the evening as part of the official Roxtoberfest afterparty at J.D. McGillicuddy’s Roxborough (473 Leverington Ave.) from 6–10 p.m. There will be live music as well as food and drink specials.
