Tim’s Cascade Snacks Debuts 2 Special Batch Limited Edition Flavors

Tim’s Cascade Snacks, producer of Tim’s Cascade Style Potato Chips, Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips and Erin’s Popcorn, is now offering special batches of potato chip flavors from the past and new flavors for the future.

The flavors will be in stores for a limited time and will launch a new tradition. Every year, Tim’s Cascade Snacks will launch special batch items for Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips and Tim’s Cascade Style Potato Chips with unique flavor trends. Snacks start with premium potatoes direct from local family-owned farms in the Great Pacific Northwest.

In honor of three decades of crowd-pleasing flavors and following on the heels of its extremely popular first two special batch flavors in spring 2016, Island Lemon and Coney Island, Tim’s Cascade Snacks is debuting two more new Special Batch flavors: Big & Bold Buffalo Blue and Hulapeno Chips.

Tim’s Big & Bold Buffalo Blue Chips are the perfect combination of the tangy heat of buffalo wings paired with the creaminess of blue cheese, which makes this the ultimate game day favorite snack. These chips are gluten-free and made with no preservatives or artificial flavors. Big & Bold Buffalo Blue Chips will be in stores for a limited time.

Hulapeno, the fourth special batch release from Tim’s Cascade Snacks, offers that perfect balance of intense flavor with a spicy bite of jalapeño peppers, with just the right amount of heat. With 78 percent of consumers saying they enjoy moderately spicy foods, Hulapeno Chips are sure to be a popular item. Additionally, Hulapeno Chips are gluten-free with no preservatives or artificial flavors.

PA Eats’s president and co-founder, Mary Bigham, got to give the Big & Bold Buffalo Blue chips a try recently and shared, “The first bite was sweet and spicy (think BBQ flavor), which rounds out with an impressive umami that somehow, despite the remarkable crunch of the chip, gives a creamy blue cheese mouthfeel that’s quickly halted by a noticeable but bearable burn that lingers. I can’t help but hit repeat to try to cool the burn—just to feel it all over again. These are really good chips!”

Just like when the company started in 1986, Tim’s Cascade Snacks still supports local farms and businesses, many of whom started out with the company from its inception 30 years ago. Additionally, Tim’s supported the sustainable movement well before it was the thing to do. The Association of Washington Business announced Tim’s Cascade Chips as the recipient of its Environmental Excellence Award of the Decade, and Tim’s was also recognized for water conservation, packaging reduction and a 10-year continuing Environmental Commitment Award in May 2001.
