Over the summer, Governor Tom Wolf signed legislation allowing grocery stores who were already selling beer with an existing restaurant license to apply for a license to also sell wine. These loosened regulations have allowed Whole Foods Market in Wynnewood to begin selling wine in addition to the extensive beer offerings available in store. The store officially added wine sales at the end of November.
Currently, approximately 75 varieties are available. Wine and beer are both located in the same area on the lower level, adjacent to Table + Tavern restaurant.
Kerry Shepski, metro marketing team leader for Whole Foods, shares, “The wine selection at the Wynnewood store will continue to expand through the end of the year and into 2017. We are very excited to continue to raise the bar for the Main Line community and offer this to our customers.”
