Find Brews from Around the World & More at Newly Opened Phoenixville Foodery

At long last, the Foodery is open in Phoenixville! This is the fourth Foodery location and the first in the suburbs. The Foodery is anchored at the end of Bridge Street in the old Dollar Store and brings its world of beer, wine and food to the thirsty and hungry patrons of the ever-growing town of Phoenixville.

The first Foodery opened in Center City, Philadelphia, in 1976, and the concept has kept up its original food and beverage model since then by focusing on items you just can’t find anywhere else. You’ll find beers from around the world, but the Foodery isn’t just for beer lovers. Strong coffee, fun fizzy beverages, rare iced teas, seltzers and colas also make an appearance. The location features an amazing 30 doors of cold beer and three doors of soft drinks. Customers can purchase just one bottle or a mixed 6-pack of beer.

In this renovated and re-imagined space with high ceilings and wooden floors, customers enter another world. Fine cheeses and meats from Boar’s Head, Di Bruno Bros. and more are available, as are imported European candies, sweet and savory snacks and just about every beverage you can imagine—beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages.

“The reception with the town has been great,” said Young Kim, Foodery general manager. “We’ve had rushes with lunch and dinner, but we anticipate peak times and make sure everyone has a great experience.”

Step over to the deli counter and choose a specially crafted sandwich, or build your own from a long list of ingredients. The deli features Boar’s Head meats and cheeses and locally sourced bread from Saint Peter’s Bakery. The Foodery has created a space to relax, enjoy your meal, sit down with a beer or a beverage and soak up the atmosphere indoors and out.

Young is focused on good customer service. “We encourage customers to try a new beer, wine or food item—try a new IPA or saison or a new sandwich. We have a great staff here and we love the interactions with our customers. We also know good food and beer, and we impart that knowledge to our customers should they have any questions or concerns or want to sample anything.”

The Foodery currently has almost 20 tap lines of beer and growler service; coming soon are draft wine lines, a draft Kombucha line, a nitro coffee line and a nitro beer line. A seating area in the back nearest the long wooden bar serves as a congregating place for craft beer lovers.

The Foodery offers a fun experience featuring specialty sandwiches, imported snacks, European chocolates and a creative atmosphere. Stop in and check it out for yourself!
