Origin Almond Launches New Line of Superbeverages

We’ve all heard the buzz about superfoods—those foods that are nutrient-rich in compounds such as fiber, antioxidants and fatty acids that enhance our health and well-being and boost our energy and vitality. The list of superfoods is ever-evolving, but the mainstay staples include blueberries, spinach, broccoli, quinoa and salmon. Another stellar superfood? Almonds! That’s right—packed with vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron, almonds are the most nutrient-dense nut you can eat.

There’s a lot of different ways to enjoy almonds—almond butter, in smoothies, on top of Greek yogurt or straight-up by the handful—and, of course, almond milk. Many vegans and lactose-intolerant individuals turn to almond milk as an alternative source of calcium and vitamin D. And some non-vegans enjoy almond milk, too, as it has zero saturated fat and it’s delicious! It’s slightly sweet with just a hint of nuttiness.

Almond milk traditionally comes in three flavors—unsweetened, vanilla and chocolate. Well, not anymore. The folks at Origin Almond have created a new line of “Superbeverages,” combining almond milk with other superfoods, resulting in drinks bursting with delicious, unique flavors and packed to the brim with nutrients. Check out these flavors and see for yourself!

  • Bright Hemp: Organic, raw hemp and sprouted almonds team up to offer a high-protein, high-fiber and highest-quality plant-based protein in the market.
  • Goji Orange Zest: The vitamin C in the orange and lemon work together with ginger (used to aid digestive issues) to boost your immune system. This drink is packed with carotenoids, which are good for eye and skin health.
  • Golden Ginger & Turmeric: Turmeric and curcumin have surged in superfood popularity over the years, being touted for their ability to fight inflammation. This curcumin-rich blend combines turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper for both inflammation and digestion ease.
  • Matcha Green Tea: Energy without the crash. Matcha, or Japanese green tea, is an ancient Asian superfood known for its ability to provide energy and mental focus without the jittery crash caffeine can bring. Reach for this the next time you’re in an energy slump or need to stay focused.
  • Thai Coconut & Vanilla: A dynamic duo of delicious, heart-healthy fats. Almond milk bands together with coconut milk (coconuts contain monounsaturated fatty acids, a “good” fat) and raw vanilla bean specks to aid in metabolism and heart health, with a hint of lemon thrown in to provide balance and alkaline in every sip.

“I’ve heard from a lot of folks who are learning about the benefits of superfoods, but are struggling to find more ways to incorporate into their diet. They either don’t want to take more pills or can’t stomach what’s available in the market,” said Jake Deleon, founder of Origin Almond. “Our new cold-pressed Superbeverages are unique because they offer the benefits of highly popular superfoods in a convenient and tasty drink.”

All Origin Almond products are gluten, dairy, soy and grain-free with zero additives. Based out of South Jersey, you can find Superbeverages at Soy Cafe, with hopes to land in local Whole Foods Markets and other local supermarkets and cafes in the near future.
