Lancaster’s BUZZ to Reinvent Itself as a Food Truck

With the news of Aussie and the Fox closing and Max’s Eatery moving into the space, you’re probably wondering what’s going on with BUZZ, your go-to for breakfast, coffee and (let’s be honest) hangover cures.

While BUZZ’s takeout window has closed for the last time, its team is working on bringing you an all-new (and mobile) BUZZ experience, while still keeping its B Corp vibes going strong.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Michael Sirianni, owner and operator of BUZZ, during this exciting transition, and he told us about BUZZ’s big plans.

Sirianni says, “I’m really excited about what it means for our brand to get in front of more eyes. Which is what’s going to happen with the truck. And I’m really excited, secondarily, because as a B Corp. brand, it’s really important for us to be doing work for our community, being out in our community and creating jobs in our community.”

“I’m also really painfully aware that we’re changing everything we’ve ever done in one fell swoop,” he continues. “Because we’re going to be mobile, there is just some equipment we can’t use. We can’t hold as much cold food on our truck as we could in a brick-and-mortar. So we’re going to have to limit our menu to a certain amount and repurpose ingredients. It’s been a fun, creative little puzzle.”

Before you worry about your favorite item getting the axe, hear him out! BUZZ is planning to keep the most popular items, specifically the King Street Cure-All, which includes two fried eggs, cheddar, double bacon, sautéed onions, tomato, ketchup, mayo and hot sauce all on a ciabatta roll. BUZZ will also be bringing back specials that customers have gone gaga over. And the team is going to try out some new things, as Michael is ridiculously obsessed with huevos rancheros. He describes the version he’s created as, “so bomb diggity delicious.”

“The food truck culture is this well-established thing, like the cool kids’ lunch table in high school. We’re excited to join the food truck ranks in Lancaster with Rolling Revolution, Dough Heads Stuffed Waffles, Baron von Schwein and so many more.,” he says.

Expect to see BUZZ at its very first event in Lancaster in May! This summer, you can also catch BUZZ parked outside of The Fridge, all day on Mondays and during the mornings, Tuesday through Saturday each week. Lunch service Tuesdays through Saturdays is still up in the air, but Michael and his team hope to set up shop at a variety of places, including The Candy Factory, Lancaster Art Studios and more!

Stay tuned and make sure you’re following BUZZ on Instagram and Facebook for all of its exciting and mobile details!
