Now Open in Philadelphia: Irwin’s Upstairs in the Bok Building

Philly’s Bok Building got another tenant this week when Irwin’s opened its doors on Wednesday, July 18.

This brand-new cocktail bar is located on the eighth floor of the building, directly across from Bok Bar, which is well known for its expansive city views. And similar to Bok Bar, Irwin’s gives Philadelphians a chance to step outside on its rooftop terrace.

Irwin’s is named for Irwin Thornton Catharine, the building’s architect and the chief architect of Philly’s public schools in the 1920s and ’30s. As far as the menu goes, expect Mediterranean small plates from Chef/Owner Paul Garberson.

Reservations are now being accepted with limited seatings, as Irwin’s finds its feet. Hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 5–10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5–11 p.m.

Please note, Irwin’s is a kid-free, 21+ establishment.

You can find Irwin’s at 1901 S. 9th St., 8th Floor in Philadelphia; phone: (215) 693 6206.
