Now Open in Lancaster: Max’s Eatery’s Weekend Window

Back in the beginning of April, we reported that Max’s Eatery would be coming to King Street in Lancaster. Well, after a few short weeks, Max’s Eatery has opened its Weekend Window, serving daytime and late-night menu items to the hungry folks downtown.

Max’s Eatery first opened its takeout window on Friday, June 8, and according to Instagram and Facebook (and all of the tantalizing photos), it’s a huge hit!

Here’s a quick peek at the menu:

Das Deutsch

Pretzel roll, smoked ham, braised red cabbage, swiss cheese, brown mustard

The Quick Cluck

Kaiser roll, cholula chicken, cheddar cheese, banana peppers, bacon mayonnaise

The Boomer

Roasted mushrooms, pickled red onions, tahini, pepper relish

Plain John Hot Dog

Split top bun, wiener, mustard

The Corn Dog

Wiener topped with elote (Mexican corn salad) and cotija cheese

You can also get a bunch of different non-alcoholic drinks, as well as sides like elote salad, sambal slaw, waffles and Max’s cookies. And, while the restaurant portion of Max’s isn’t open quite yet, it’s reportedly tracking for a mid-summer opening!

Stop by this Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, from 11 a.m.–2 a.m. to enjoy lunch or a snack after your evening at the bar. Starting Tuesday, June 26, which is the official “grand opening” for lunch at the window, you can grab something from Max’s almost any day of the week: Hours will be Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 a.m.

Make sure you’re following Max’s Eatery on Facebook and Instagram for pop-up details, menu updates and opening date information.

You can find Max’s Eatery at 38 W. King St. in Lancaster.
