Now Open in Malvern: Marwar Mirchi, Vegetarian Indian Cuisine

Marwar Mirchi

Malvern’s restaurant scene is now home to a traditional all-vegetarian Indian eatery, Marwar Mirchi, which recently opened on Lancaster Avenue.

Owner Varun Vyas welcomes guests into his inviting, 60-seat restaurant. The menu is filled with authentic Indian dishes, including daal bati, a soup made with five varieties of lentils and baked wheat balls; marwar mirchi, a spicy dish comprised of cooked potatoes and onions stuffed in hot pepper and then batter fried; gajar halwa, a carrot-based sweet pudding dessert made with clarified butter and milk; and marwar special lassi, a curd (Indian yogurt) drink with saffron, cardamom and pistachios, which helps to improve digestion and boost immunity.
