Philadelphia, It’s Finally Time For Some Outdoor Beer-Drinking

Springtime weather is upon us (for real, this time!) and that means it’s time to start planning out which beer gardens to visit during the warmer weather months. We’ve got three Philadelphia beer gardens to help get the outdoor spring and summer sipping underway!

Independence Beer Garden

Independence Beer Garden is now open for the season, serving up an extensive array of craft beer offerings, cocktails, bar bites and more. There’s a new menu for 2018, which includes some large by-the-pound platters for groups, and the inclusions are certain to be the perfect accompaniment to your beverage of choice.

Some of the culinary items you’ll find on the Independence Beer Garden menu include cheese curds, crispy wings, hummus, cheesesteak, pulled pork sandwich, tacos, muffaletta, and other fabulous finger food and sandwich options. As for the brew selection, plenty of Pennsylvania breweries make the cut, in addition to brews from outside the state. For the non-beer drinking crowd, crafted cocktails are available, too, such as the IBG Mule, Papaya Shandy and the Gin Jawn, to name a few.

Independence Beer Garden is open seven days a week during the season, which typically runs through September or October, depending on the weather. Hours of operation are Sunday through Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m.–midnight. 100 South Independence Mall West, Philadelphia; (215) 922-7100
