Whether you are a first time trailblazer or a vino veteran, the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail is a collection of seven award-winning wineries and is worth every sip. Their annual “Barrels on the Brandywine” event is approaching fast, and it’s your chance to sample each and every one of the winery’s favorites, plus score a taste of the recent harvest.
The “Barrels on the Brandywine” event will take shape every Saturday and Sunday in March 2012, jumpstarting on Saturday, March 3 and running through Sunday, April 1. Want to weave your way through local winegrowers and vintners’ cellars and tasting rooms for barrel tastings, cellar tours, music, art shows, food, and other special events?
Lucky for one local wine lover, PA Eats has teamed up with the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail to award a two-pack of passports (a $60 value) for the upcoming month-long tasting event. The wine trail’s passports are required to attend this event and they provide each guest with a wine tasting at each member winery and a commemorative Wine Trail logo glass.

Please note that while Passports are valid March 3 through April 30, 2012, you can only taste the new vintages during March and on April 1. After April 1, you may use your Passport for a standard tasting. Featured wine trail’s featured wineries included: Black Walnut Winery, Chaddsford Winery, Kreutz Creek Vineyards, Paradocx Vineyard, Patone Cellars, Penns Woods Winery, and Twin Brook Winery.
